29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Employees shall be provided with eye and face protection equipment when machines or operations present potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents. a. On or about October 13, 2016, located at the Village at Hannah Farm at 1065 Heritage Street, Lot 50 in Blacklick, Ohio, employees were installing shingles on the roof of a residential home with the use of pneumatic nail guns while not wearing any eye protection, thereby exposing the employees to severe eye damage or blindness.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): "Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. Exception: When the employer can demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems, the employer shall develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of 1926.502. a. On or about October 13, 2016, located at the Village at Hannah Farm at 1065 Heritage Street, Lot 50 in Blacklick, Ohio, employees were installing shingles on a residential home without the use of fall protection, thereby exposing the employees to a maximum fall hazard of approximately 20 feet.
