29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13):Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a. On or about January 29, 2021, located at 10607 Ash Grove Ct, Lot #1530, Plain City, OH 43064, the the employer did not ensure that employees involved in roofing activities on a two-story, single family home were protected against fall hazards. Two employees were installing shingles on the roof without fall protection, thereby exposing them to fall hazards up to greater than 14 feet. b. On or about January 29, 2021, located at 10607 Ash Grove Ct, Lot #1530, Plain City, OH 43064, the the employer did not ensure that employees involved in roofing activities on a two-story, single family home were protected against fall hazards. One employee was placing a ladder on the roof over the front porch area without fall protection, thereby exposing him to fall a hazard up to 13.9 feet. Leaniz Roofing was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1183847, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on November 30, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 1065 Heritage Street, Lot 50, Blacklick, OH 43004.
