OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees a. On or about October 18, 2016 the employer was using Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) pipe to supply compressed air with a gauged air pressure of 110 pounds per square inch (psi) to operate portable hand tools throughout the welding area. The PVC pipe was not approved for use with compressed air and could fail or rupture, exposing employees to laceration and puncture hazards.
