29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met: a.) GKN Sinter Metals-Dubois, 1 Tom Mix Drive Dubois, PA, on or about October 26th, 2016, and times prior thereto: Employees were working with and around hazardous substances including, but not limited to, powdered metals, nitrogen, and hydrogen during work operations onsite. The employers Hazard Communication program was missing information in the section that covered Safety Data Sheets that included, but was not limited to, the following: 1) The back-up system to be used to obtain SDS in the event of a failure to the electronic equipment utilized to obtain SDS. 2) Information regarding the location of the back-up system for employee access. 3) For Contractors that perform work operations onsite: The methods the employer will use to provide the other employer(s) on-site access to safety data sheets for each hazardous chemical the other employer(s)' employees may be exposed to while working.
