29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Eye and face protective equipment were not used when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents.  On or about October 27, 2016:  a) Employees were exposed to eye injuries, while using pneumatic nail guns to install roof sheathing and framing material on a new residential home. The employer failed to ensure that each employee using the pneumatic nail guns were using eye protection.   In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):   On or about October 27, 2016:  a) Employee installing roof sheathing were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 12.7 feet, when the employer failed to provide employees with fall protection measures.   In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
