29 CFR 1910.265(c)(20)(i): Blower collecting, and exhaust systems were not designed, constructed, and maintained in accordance with American National Standards Z33.1-1961 (For the Installation of Blower and Exhaust Systems for Dust, Stock, and Vapor Removal or Conveying) and Z12.20-1962 (R1969) (Code for the Prevention of Dust Explosion in Woodworking and Wood Flour Manufacturing Plants), which are incorporated by reference as specified in Sec. 1910.6: Section 231, American National Standards Z33.1-1961, as adopted by 29 CFR 1910.265(c)(20)(i): Ducts shall be constructed entirely of sheet metal or other noncombustible material, and of adequate strength and rigidity to meet the conditions of service and installation requirements, and shall be properly protected where subject to mechanical injury. Section 1235, American National Standards Z12.20-1962, as adopted by 29 CFR 1910.265(c)(20)(i): Exhaust piping shall be of proper gage galvanized sheet steel or black sheet steel protected against corrosion, or of other noncombustible materials of equal strength, corrosion and abrasion resisting properties. A.) Omega Logging, Inc., 21 Council Street, Wheatland, PA 16161, on or about November 9, 2016 and times prior thereto: PVC Plastic piping was used to convey sawdust from machinery including, but not limited to, a Cornell Gang Resaw, a Smith Band Resaw and the head saws.
