OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by hazards: (a) Jobsite, 1301 4th Avenue, Coraopolis, PA 15108: On or before November 16, 2106, employees were adjusting trusses that had been previously set in place. The top cord of the long span trusses were inadequately braced in that spacing was greater than 4 feet on center, no diagonal bracing was used, and the lateral restraints did not overlap two trusses. The bottom cord of the long span trusses lacked diagonal bracing. The Mono trusses were inadequately braced in that only a single row of lateral bracing was used in the middle of the span without overlapping two trusses. The Mono trusses did not have bottom cord bracing.
