29 CFR 1926.252(a): Whenever materials are dropped more than 20 feet to any point lying outside the exterior walls of the building, an enclosed chute of wood, or equivalent material, shall be used:     a) Exterior Front of Apartment Building: Employees engaged in roofing work at an elevated height of 30 feet above the ground surface were throwing roof shingles to the ground surface without an enclosed chute of wood, or other equivalent material, thus exposing other employees working below to a struck by hazard, on or about, 11/17/16.

29 CFR 1926.95(a): Personal protective equipment, including personal protective equipment for eyes, face, head, and extremities, protective clothing, respiratory devices, and protective shields and barriers, was not provided, used, or maintained in a sanitary and reliable condition it was necessary by reason of hazards of processes or environment, chemical hazards, radiological hazards, or mechanical irritants encountered in a manner capable of causing injury or impairment in the function of any part of the body through absorption, inhalation, or physical contact:    a) Roof of Apartment Building: An employee engaged in roofing work was using a pneumatic nail gun without eye and face protection, on or about, 11/17/16.    Hackensack Roofing Co. Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.95(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 985146, citation number 001, item number 001, and was affirmed as a final order on 9/4/14, with respect to a workplace located at 449 Lasalle Ave., Hasbrouck Heights, NJ.

The Hackensack Roofing Co., Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 985146, citation number 001, item number 002 and was affirmed as a final order on 09/04/14, with respect to a workplace located at 449 Lasalle Ave, Hasbrouck Heights, NJ 07604.
