29 CFR 1910.28(a)(13): Scaffold planks shall extend over their end supports not less than 6 inches nor more than 18 inches. Melt Department: An elevated work platform, consisting of an open top metal tub and a wood plank, was used to clean out the furnace. The plank was not adequately placed to secure it from moving. On 11-11-16 An employee fell approximately 32 inches from a plank to the concrete floor. The wooden plank had slipped into the metal tub.
