29 CFR 1910.176(b): Storage of material created a hazard: U.S. Coast Guard Island Exchange, Building 22, above the Phone Room storage area, 11/22/2016: A wooden pallet supporting a large box extended about 18 inches over the edge of a 10 foot high storage area. Employees were exposed to crushing injuries. The U.S. Coast Guard Island was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.176(b), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 866163, citation number 01, item number 02 and was affirmed as a final order on 03/04/2013, with respect to a workplace located at U.S. Coast Guard Island Exchange, Building 22, Alameda, CA 94501.
