29 CFR 1910.23(c)(1): Open-sided floors and/or platforms four feet or more above adjacent floor or ground level were not guarded with standard railings (or equivalent) and toeboards: a) Second floor equipment loading area: On or about November 29, 2016 and at times prior thereto; an unlocked, inadequately guarded set of metal doors opened to an immediate floor edge; exposing Printcraft Press employees and cabinet contractors to a 12 foot fall from a height. Employees and contractors are not protected from a fall while moving materials from a forklift when the material handling doors are open. Metal doors are blocked with a wooden gate that is not attached to the doorframe or wall, and does not have a locking mechanism. Note* Abatement certification IS required for this item.

A sign is not posted above the door or in the immediate area to warn employees of the hazard. Note* Abatement certification IS required for this item.
