29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure: a) Lathe Dept., on or about 12/7/16: A strip outlet and an extension cord providing current to a buffing wheel, light and radio was being used as permanent wiring at the left side of the Mazak DT20 and at the back of the machine an extension cord providing current to the mist collector was being used as permanent wiring. b) Lathe Dept., on or about 12/7/16: An extension cord drop from the ceiling at the Craftsman drill press between Mazak lathes 5 & 8 was being used as permanent wiring. c) Mill Dept.. on or about 12/7/16: A three way extension cord providing current to a mist collector, turn table and grinder at the Tsugami milling center was being used as permanent wiring. Abatement certification must be submitted for these items.
