29 CFR 1910.107(c)(2): Open flame(s) or spark producing equipment, not separated by a partition, were located within 20 feet of spraying area(s): Worksite: Where electrostatic spraying with combustible powders was conducted and the powder leaked outside of a spray booth, the employer did not separate the operations from adjacent spark and/or flame producing equipment by a distance of at least 20 feet, or by a suitable partition. Mechanical ventilation was inadequate to prevent fugitive combustible powder emissions from exiting the booth. This allowed space outside the booth to become a Spray Area. In this Spray Area combustible powder accumulated onto adjacent, unapproved electrical equipment.
