29 CFR 1910.101(b): The in-plant handling, storage, and utilization of all compressed gases in cylinders, portable tanks, rail tankcars, or motor vehicle cargo tanks were not in accordance with Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet P-1-1965, which is incorporated by reference as specified in CFR 1910.6:  a) Warehouse Shop: On or about November 30, 2016 and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to fire and explosion hazards in that acetylene cylinders were stored with flammable and combustible materials such as, but not limited to, gasoline and oil in the same flammable liquids cabinet.  The U. S. Department of the Interior, U. S. Geological Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.101(b), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1155486, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on November 7, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 2730 North Deer Run Rd. Carson City, NV 89701.

29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(1): Employers did not have a safety data sheet in the workplace for each hazardous chemical which they use  (a) USGS, AZ Water Science Center, Tempe Field Office: On or about November 30, 2016 and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to chemical and fire hazards in that safety data sheets for oxygen and acetylene were not maintained and available in the workplace.  The USGS, Nevada Water Science Center was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 891943, citation number 1, item number 7 and was affirmed as a final order on June 12, 2013, with respect to a workplace located at 160 N. Stephanie St. Henderson, NV 89074.
