29 CFR 1910.213(c)(1): Circular handfed ripsaw(s) were not guarded by an automatically adjusting hood which completely enclosed that portion of the saw above the table and above the material being cut: (a) Faurot Construction Inc. at 5311 Western Ave., Unit 110, Boulder, CO 80301: On or before 12/14/2016, the exposing employer did not ensure that a Delta X Unisaw, model 36-R31X, serial number 06A119102, was used with a self-adjusting hood to completely enclose that portion of the saw above the material being cut. An employee using this saw experienced an amputation when coming into contact with the exposed blade. This condition exposed employees to an amputation hazard.
