OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck by hazards during manual tree felling operations. On or about December 19, 2016, at 3148 Pioneer Trail in Mantua, OH, the employer did not remove obstacles in the felling path and ensure employee travel a safe distance away along the retreat/escape path. Employee was exposed to serious injuries while performing manual tree felling activities for a 69kV electric power transmission line hot spot.
