29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met: Written Hazard Communication Program: Employees were exposed to chemical hazards in that a written hazard communication program had not been developed and maintained in the workplace to address the required elements. Hazardous chemicals include, but are not limited to desiccant beads and hydrochloric acid.

29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(1): Employers did not have a safety data sheet in the workplace for each hazardous chemical which they use Room 134: Employees were exposed to hazards of chemical exposure to desiccant beads in that safety data sheets were not maintained for this chemical. The USGS, Nevada Water Science Center was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 891943, citation number 1, item number 7 and was affirmed as a final order on 6/12/2013, with respect to a workplace located at 160 N. Stephanie St, Henderson, NV 89074.
