Abatement certification was not received for the following violations:              a.    Citation 1 Item 1, and          b.    Citation 1 Item 2.

29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation:  On or about January 9th, 2017, employees working in the High Bay Area were exposed to cuts and lacerations to the face from flying glass when pushing glass panels into the loading dock and face shields were not worn.

29 CFR 1910.178(m)(6): A safe distance was not maintained from the edge of ramps or platforms while on any elevated dock, or platform or freight car:   On or about January 9th, 2017, employees operating powered industrial trucks were exposed to injuries when dumping glass into the loading docks that did not have a barrier to prevent the truck from falling 36" into the loading dock.
