29 CFR 1910.265(c)(18)(i): Construction, operation, and maintenance of conveyors were not in accordance with American National Standard B20.1-1957, which is incorporated by reference as specified in Sec. 1910.6 when unguarded portions of a conveyor were less than 7-feet above a passageway: a) Sharp Chain Waste Chip Belt Conveyor: On January 9, 2017 and at times prior thereto, the employer allowed employees to use a passageway under an unguarded conveyor that was installed less than 7-feet above the ground which exposed employees to being caught in related hazards, such as but not limited to amputations, crushing, and scalping.
