29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): Guard for abrasive wheel machine where the operator stands in front of the machine was not constructed so that the peripheral protecting member could be adjusted to the constantly decreasing diameter of the wheel: (a) Engine Bay: Employees are potentially exposed to impalement hazards when operating the JET 8" Bench Grinder, Model Number JBG-8A with the tongue guard open approximately one half inch. THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF INTERIOR, BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD, WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 1085587, CITATION 01, ITEM NUMBER 004b AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON OCTOBER 23, 2015, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT U.S. DEPARTMENT OF INTERIOR, BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT, PARTNERS POINT ROAD, LAKE HAVASU CITY, ARIZONA 86406.
