29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Eye and face protective equipment were not used when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents: a. On or about January 28, 2017, an employee using Hitachi NR83A2 pneumatic nail guns to conduct framing operations was not wearing safety glasses, exposing himself to being hit by nails or flying debris. b. On or about January 28, 2017, an employee using a 5007MG Makita circular handsaw to cut faming pieces was not wearing safety glasses, exposing himself to being hit by flying debris. The Halen Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1136889, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on July 1, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 7158-7160 Riverbrooke Street, Panama City, Florida 32405.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501(b): a. On or about January 28, 2017, on a 6:12 pitched structure, an employee performing framing operations was not protected from a 13-foot 7-inch fall hazard by use of a guardrail system, safety net system, personal fall arrest system or any alternative fall protection. The Halen Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1136889, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on July 1, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 7158-7160 Riverbrooke Street, Panama City, Florida 32405.
