29 CFR 1926.701(b): All protruding reinforcing steel, onto and/or into which employees could fall or come against, was not guarded to eliminate the hazard of impalement: a. On or about 01/31/2017, New Caribbean Cinemas of St. Croix - front parking area: Employees have been walking nearby unprotected steel rebars while working installing parking molds for the new concrete slab. Note 1: The Eleven Construction was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.701(b), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1162206, citation number 1, item number 4 and was affirmed as a final order on 1/19/2016, with respect to a workplace located at Estate Diamond # 93 Green Quarter, St Croix, VI 00820. Note 2: Certification of abatement is not required for this citation item as abatement was documented by the compliance safety and health officer during the inspection.
