29 CFR 1926.652(e)(2)(i): Excavation of material to a level no greater than 2 feet (.61m) below the bottom of the members of the support system was allowed when there were indications while the trench was open of a possible loss of soil from behind or below the bottom of the support system: On or about February 7, 2017, at an excavation site, employees were observed working in an approximately 15 foot deep trench with the bottom of the protective system elevated more than two feet above the trench floor. The employees were exposed to struck by and crushing hazards. TTK Construction Company, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, 29 CFR 1926.652(e)(2)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1163917, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on January 17, 2017, with a final abatement date of December 2, 2016, with respect to a workplace hazard located at 1815 S. Meridian Oklahoma City, OK 73108.
