29 CFR 1910.157(g)(3) as required by 1960.8(b): The employer shall provide employees who have been designated to use fire fighting equipment as part of an emergency action plan with training in the use of the appropriate equipment. On or about February 14, 2017, the employer did not provide annual training on portable fire extinguishers that included hands-on training to employees designated to use portable fire extinguishers. U.S. Army corps of Engineers, Soo Area Office was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1910.157(g)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1047681, citation number 1, item number 9 and was affirmed as a final order on November 23, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 315 W. Portage Ave, Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan 49783.
