29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): "Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. a. On or about February 15, 2017, at the site located at 112 Faulkner Dr., Lithopolis, Ohio, an employee was performing siding work on a two story home from the lower level roof with a pitch of approximately 5 in 12 and approximately 9 feet in height with no fall protection, thereby exposing employees to a fall hazard.
