29 CFR 1910.305(a)(2)(ix): All lamps for general illumination were not protected from accidental contact or breakage by a suitable fixture or lampholder with a guard. Brass shell, paper-lined sockets, or other metal-cased sockets may not be used unless the shell is grounded.  a) Northwest wall of the Motor Room: A bare light bulb used for lighting in the area was attached to a "light socket adapter" and then plugged directly into a 120 volt receptacle outlet. The exposed bulb was not protected from breakage or employee contact.

29 CFR 1910.176(b): Material stored in tiers was not stacked, blocked, interlocked or limited in height so that it was stable and secure against sliding and collapse:  a) South wall of the Warehouse: Items stored atop shelving were found not to be plumb and square and they were listing forward or overhanging the edge of the shelving or off of the pallets they were stored on. Items were mostly cardboard boxes with unknown contents, and metal frame parts.   Notice 1 , Item 1, 29 CFR 1910.176(b): The employer failed to ensure that all items stored on warehouse selves were plumb, square and stable. The employer was cited for a violation of the same standard  on 10-11-2016, Inspection # 117872.  It was affirmed as a final order on November 7, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at Fort Jackson, SC. Abatement was completed when unstable objects on shelves were made plumb, square and stable.
