29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: On or before 2/23/2017, the employer failed to ensure that machine guarding methods were in place on equipment including, but not limited to the line #3: 1) The Pneu Power shear, model # 4F-8, serial # P-1168 had an exposed pinch point on the posts that are used for height adjustment; 2) The mill, serial # 2965, had exposed rollers, and; 3) The Urbana S.O # 27974, Serial # P-65-26-2, had the punch dies and the out feed rollers exposed.
