29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a) Facility, 1297 Kecksburg Road, Mount Pleasant, PA: On or about February 23, 2017 machine guarding was not provided on the Black Bros. laminating machine in that the opening between the rolls and the guard measured approximately 1 3/8 inches and did not prevent the operator from contact with the ingoing nip points while cleaning the rolls.
