29 CFR 1910.107(c)(6): Electrical wiring and equipment not subject to deposits of combustible residues but located in a spraying area as herein defined were not explosion-proof type approved for Class I, group D locations and did not otherwise conform to the provisions of subpart S of this part, for Class I, Division 1, Hazardous Locations: 4321 Browns Bridge Road, Gainesville, GA - Employees are exposed to a fire hazard. Booths #1- #5 mixing areas, employees are required to mix flammable and combustible products (resin/gel coat) to spray paint cultured marble parts. Electrical equipment such as, but is not limited to lights, extension cords, a fan, and electrical outlets are located in the mixing areas. The electrical equipment was not approved for the location, on or about 01/12/17. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
