29 CFR 1917.50(a): An employee was operating a material handling device (Hoist #2) without a current and valid OSHA 71. Pacific Shrimp Inc. (a) Main plant- Halco Welding Hoist 2- On or about February 27th, 2017 and at times prior thereto, the CSHO observed hoist 2 lifting loads of Dungeness crab from a fishing boat. Hoist 2 was issued an OSHA 72 on August 4th, 2016 and had not been re-certified prior to resuming lifting and handling operations.
