29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: Near the door at bay 103 - On or about February 19, 2017 and thereafter, employees were exposed to falling in excess of six feet from unprotected edge along a pit. Caution tape was used near the pit in lieu of guardrails, safety net systems, and personal fall arrest systems. Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
