29 CFR 1910.137(c)(2)(ii): Insulating equipment shall be inspected for damage before each day's use and immediately following any incident that can reasonably be suspected of causing damage. Insulating gloves were not given an air test, along with the inspection.     (a) Maintenance employee used Salisbury rubber insulating gloves, Class 00, Type I gloves rated to 500 volts AC when working on energized circuits without performing an air test on gloves before each use. This exposed the employee to an electrical shock hazard.
