29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): "Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. a) Top of the roof, new residential construction Lot 148: On or about March 2nd, 2017 and at times prior, the employer exposed an employee to fall hazards of approximately 10-20 feet while installing roof shingles without a proper fall protection system in place. Daniel Barragan was previously cited for serious repeat violations of OSHA standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13) which were contained in OSHA Inspection Number 1173046, Citation 1 Item 1 issued on 09/07/2016 for inspection site located at Lot 4 of 4167 Butternut Pl. Atlanta, GA 30349 and became a final order on 10/03/2016. Daniel Barragan was previously cited for serious violations of OSHA standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13) which were contained in OSHA Inspection Number 1104316, Citation 1 Item 1 issued on 11/13/2015 for inspection site 5725 Wisbech Way, Atlanta, GA 30349 and became a final order on 12/10/2015.
