29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system.  Or, on roofs 50-feet (15.25 m) or less in width, each employee was not protected by use of a monitoring system.   On or about March 17, 2017, employees were exposed to a 12.6-14 foot fall while roofing a commercial property, the employer did not ensure the employees were protected from a fall.      ASG HOME EXTERIORS INC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 985282, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on September 30, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 1428 Ashford Ln. Aurora, IL 60502.   Abatement documentation is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards:   On or about March 17, 2017, employees performing roofing activities were not trained to recognize and minimize the hazards associated with a fall, exposing the employees to the hazards associated with a fall.     ASG HOME EXTERIORS INC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 985282, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on September 30, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 1428 Ashford Ln.
