29 CFR 1910.178(a)(4): Modifications and additions which affect capacity and safe operation of powered industrial truck were performed by the employer without the manufacturer's prior written approval:  a) Shop Area: On or about March 30, 2017, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to struck-by and crushed-by hazards in that employees were allowed to operate a forklift with a NewTec, Inc. 5th Wheel / Receiver Hitch Attachment that had not been certified by the manufacturer of the forklift and did not have updated instruction plates, tags, or decals.  b) Shop Area: On or about March 30, 2017, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to struck-by and crushed-by hazards in that employees were allowed to operate a forklift with a 5th Wheel / Receiver Hitch Attachment of unknown manufacturer, that had not been certified by the manufacturer of the forklift and did not have updated instruction plates, tags, or decals.

Reported defects were not corrected.  a) Shop Area: On or about March 30, 2017, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to struck-by hazards in that employees were allowed to operate a forklift without a working horn.

29 CFR 1910.28(b)(1)(i): The employer did not ensure that each employee on a walking-working surface with an unprotected side or edge that was 4 feet (1.2 m) or more above a lower level was protected from falling by one or more of the following:  Guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:  a) Shop Area: On or about March 30, 2017, and at times prior, the employer failed to provide fall protections such as but not limited to guardrails or personal fall arrest systems to protect employees from falls of greater than 4 feet while working on top of recreational vehicles/campers.   Emerald Coast RV Center, LLC. dba Camping World was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.23(c)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 924816, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 12/20/13, with respect to a workplace located at 21282 Highway 59 South, Robertsdale, AL 36567.

29 CFR 1910.178(l)(1)(i): The employer did not ensure that each powered industrial truck operator was competent to operate a powered industrial truck safely, as demonstrated by the successful completion of the training and evaluation specified in this paragraph (l):  a) Shop Area: On or about March 30, 2017, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to struck-by hazards in that employees were allowed to operate a forklifts without the employer first ensuring the employees were competent to operate the equipment as demonstrated by the completion of the required training and evaluation specified in the regulation.   Emerald Coast RV Center, LLC. dba Camping World was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.178(l)(1)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 924816, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 12/20/13, with respect to a workplace located at 21282 Highway 59 South, Robertsdale, AL 36567.

29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(5): The employer did not ensure that each container of hazardous chemicals in the workplace was labeled, tagged, or marked with the identity and appropriate hazard warnings regarding the chemicals contained therein:   a) Detail Area (On shelf): On or about March 30, 2017, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to respiratory and other hazards associated with the use of chemicals such as but not limited to Bleach, Soap (A-Foam Cleaner), Air Freshener (Ardex Aromatherapy), and Acids (Attack Acid Truck Cleaner), in that employees were allowed to move chemicals to small bottles that were not labeled and not intended for single use.    b) Detail Area (On top of cabinet): On or about March 30, 2017, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to respiratory and other hazards associated with the use of chemicals such as but not limited to Bleach, Soap (A-Foam Cleaner), Air Freshener (Ardex Aromatherapy), and Acids (Attack Acid Truck Cleaner), in that employees were allowed to move chemicals to small bottles that were not labeled and not intended for single use.
