29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) On or about April 11, 2017, the harp area of the cheese cutter was not adequately guarded in that employees reached through the gap between the guarding and first stage harp holder assembly, while the unit was on automatic mode. b) On or about April 11, 2017, the cheese cutter area, before the harp, was not adequately guarded in that employees could reach through the gap between the guarding while the unit was on automatic mode.
