29 CFR 1910.215(a)(4): Work rest(s) on grinding machinery were not adjusted closely to the wheel with a maximum opening of one eighth inch:    (a) On or about April 10, 2017, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to stuck-by hazards in that the Central Machinery Heavy Duty bench grinder, located in the shop area, was missing a work rest.    Abatement Note:  Abatement certification and documentation are required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet").

29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch:    (a) On April 10, 2017, the employer exposed employees in the press shop area to struck-by hazards due to the Central Machinery Heavy Duty bench grinder tongue guard, located in the shop area, was not adjusted to one fourth inch.
