29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access:    a- 541 Lake Drive, Princeton NJ: Company employees were exposed to fall hazards, up to and in excess of 13 feet to the ground surface below, when accessing and egressing the second floor of a residential structure using an aluminum extension ladder whose side rails did not extend at least three feet above the landing surface. Condition noted on or about 4/12/17.    NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): .    a- 541 Lake Drive, Princeton NJ: Company employees were exposed to fall hazards, up to and in excess of 12 feet to the ground surface below, when installing floor sheathing and performing other related activities at and near unprotected edges without the use of any fall protection.  Condition noted on or about 4/12/17.    RKC Construction Corporation &/or Dynabuild Construction Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1205345, citation number 1, item number 2a and was affirmed as a final order on 04/05/17, with respect to a workplace located at 541 Lake Drive, Princeton NJ.    NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
