29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks.  a. On or about April 06, 2017 and time prior thereto, employee(s)manually opened doors to the mixer in the marinating area, were exposed to amputation hazards, in that the mixing auger were inadequately guarded. Employees removed meat from the mixer while the auger continued to rotate with the doors open.    b. On or about April 12, 2017, employee(s) in the marinade area removing meat from the mixer as the doors to the augers were pneumatically opened, were exposed to amputation hazards, in that the mixing augers were inadequately guarded. The auger continued to rotate with the doors open.  c. On or about April 12, 2017, employees in the marinade area removing meat from the mixer as the doors are closed were exposed to a caught by hazard.  Prime Pak Food, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1091711 citation number 1, item number 13, and was affirmed as a final order on March 23, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 2076 Memorial Park Drive, Gainesville, Georgia.
