Also this area was obstructed by numerous U-boat carts, empty trays, boxes with unpacked merchandise such as bottles of water and paper rolls , one store trash bin, ten construction trash bins and other store shelving materials, creating numerous trip/fall hazards.

29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit routes were not kept free and unobstructed:    On or about 4/20/17, Stock Room Emergency Exit access to Cruger Avenue, Emergency Exit from downstairs stockroom to Allentown Ave., and the bathroom/lockers area;    a) The aisle leading from the Stock room to the emergency exit door that discharges to the Cruger Avenue was obstructed by a U-boat cart full of merchandise(fragrances and cosmetics), leaving a clearance of only 7 inches wide.  b) Emergency Exit access from downstairs stockroom to Allentown Ave. exit door was obstructed with stacked trays with merchandise, boxes with merchandise and a cart containing boxes and other materials, leaving a space of only 15 inches at one point and 16.5 inches wide at other point.   c) Sheet rock panels were observed to be blocking the access to/from the bathroom, leaving only 17 inches wide to get through.  d) Exit discharge outside of the building leading towards Cruger Avenue was obstructed by numerous U-boat carts, empty trays, boxes with unpacked merchandise such as bottles of water and paper rolls , one store trash bin, ten construction trash bins and other store shelving materials, creating numerous trip/fall hazards.    1st Repeat:   The CVS Albany, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.37(a)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1109811, citation number  1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 6/9/16, with respect to a workplace located at 16 Weyman Ave. New Rochelle, NY 10801.    2nd Repeat:  The CVS Albany, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.37(a)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1114768, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 1/5/17, with respect to a workplace located at 49 4th Street Troy, NY 12180.
