On or about April 26, 2017, in production area on Line 3 employees were required to clear/release jams in the automatic palletizer machine. The company's written lockout program did not include specific energy control procedures for releasing pallet jams in the automatic palletizer machine. Employees were thereby exposed to the hazards associated with unexpected energization of equipment

29 CFR 1910.147(c)(6)(i): The employer did not conduct a periodic inspection of the energy control procedure at least annually to ensure that the procedure and the requirement of this standard were being followed: a. On or about April 26 2017, in the production area, employees performed maintenance on various machines. The employer had not performed annual periodic inspections since May 2015 to ensure that documented lockout/tagout procedures were being followed by employees and that the procedures were effective. The Ring Container Technologies, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.147(c)(6)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 420543, citation number 01, item number 1c and was affirmed as a final order on October 11, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at 335 Jackson Concourse, Pendergrass, GA.
