29 CFR 1910.242(b): Compressed air used for cleaning purposes was not reduced to less than 30 p.s.i. and then only with effective chip guarding and personal protective equipment: Maintenance Bay: Employees were exposed to flying parts and pieces and air embolisms while using two separate air nozzles with approximately 88 p.s.i. and over 100 p.s.i. of unregulated air at the nozzle. THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF INTERIOR, NATIONAL PARK SERVICE WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD, WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 1165213, CITATION 01, ITEM NUMBER 002 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON OCTOBER 6, 2016, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT U.S. DEPARTMENT OF INTERIOR, NATIONAL PARK SERVICE, SEQUOIA AND KINGS CANYON, WOLVERTON WATER TREATMENT FACILITY, SEQUOIA NATIONAL PARK, CALIFORNIA 93262.
