29 CFR 1910.134(h)(2)(i): Respirators were not stored to protect them from damage, contamination, dust, sunlight, extreme temperatures, excessive moisture, and damaging chemicals or were not packed or stored to prevent deformation of the facepiece:  Employees working in the water treatment and chemical rooms were using N95 voluntary use respirators and were exposed to respiratory hazards in that the respirators were not stored to prevent contamination and deformation.

29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use:  Employees working in the chemical room were exposed to chemical burns and damage to the eyes in that the eye wash station was not maintained in an operational condition and was not available for immediate emergency use.   The Department of Interior, National Park Service, Sequoia National Park was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.151(c), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 913241, citation number 01, item number 001 and was affirmed as a final order on November 12, 2013, with respect to a workplace located at Wolverton Water Treatment, Sequoia National Park, California 93262.

29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1)(i): The employer did not compile a list of the hazardous chemicals known to be present using a product identifier that was referenced on the appropriate safety data sheet.  Employees working with calcium hypochlorite and various other chemicals in the water treatment facility were exposed to chemical burns in that the required list of hazardous chemicals known to be present at the workplace was not compiled and available.   The U.S. National Park Service, Mojave National Preserve was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1085942, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 10/30/2015, with respect to a workplace located at 1 Black Canyon Road, Barstow, CA 92332.
