29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1)(i)(A): For electric equipment operating at 600 volts, nominal, or less to ground, and likely to require examination, adjustment, servicing, or maintenance while energized, the depth of the working space in the direction of access to live parts (as measured from the live parts where they were exposed or from the enclosure front or opening where they were enclosed) was less than indicated in Table S-1 of Subpart S of Part 1910):  (a) In CNR Welding area of Bay 21, a  bench grinder was located in front of the 480 Volt North JIB Controller panel, limiting the depth of working space in front of the North JIB Controller panel to approximately 26.5 inches, which was less than the required depth of 36 inches (or 30 inches for installations built prior to 4/16/1981).  (b) In  Sub-Arc Welding area of Bay 21, on the West Wall just south of a fire exit, a burner stand and storage rack were located in front of the 480 Volt Heating Circuit cabinet, limiting the depth of working space in front of the Heating Circuit cabinet to approximately  20.0 inches, which was less than the required depth of 36 inches (or 30 inches for installations built prior to 4/16/1981).  (c) In  NE corner of Station 1 Wire Arc Welding area of Bay 21, a Miller Welder was located in front of the 460 Volt DISC. EE52-1 (feeds Weld Receptacle) and the 460 Volt DISC. EE52-2 (feeds 30A Receptacle), limiting the  depth of working space in front of these disconnects to approximately 24.0 inches, which was less than the required depth of 36 inches (or 30 inches for installations built prior to 4/16/1981).  (d) In  NE corner of Station 2 Wire Arc Welding area of Bay 21, a Miller Welder was located in front of the 460 Volt  DISC. EE51-1 (feeds Weld Receptacle) and the 460 Volt DISC. EE51-2 (feeds 30A Receptacle), limiting the  depth of working space in front of these disconnects to approximately 28.0 inches, which was less than the required depth of 36 inches (or 30 inches for installations built prior to 4/16/1981).
