29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: (Construction Reference: 1926.59) a) Employee(s) such as laborers performed curb improvements along Hoover Ave in Edison NJ, where some crew members had not received chemical hazard training & information from their employer; to include the requirements of the OSHA rule as well as health hazards of crystalline silica present in the dust created during saw-cutting of concrete. Condition(s) were noted on or about 4/28/2017.
