29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. Located along various areas of the wood framed metal sheeted detached out building low sloped roof structure employee(s) were observed performing roof sheeting removal associated operations adjacent to unprotected sides or edges without conventional fall protection and were exposed to fall potentials from 11.9 to 15.6 feet. Wayne Overhead Door Sales, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard or its equivalent standard which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1010360, citation number 1, item number 1b, and was affirmed as a final order on January 27, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 2531 Needmore Rd., Dayton OH 45414.
