29 CFR 1926.1052(b)(1): Foot traffic was not prohibited on stairways where the treads and/or landings of pan stairs were to be filled in with concrete or other material at a later date and stairs were not temporarily fitted with wood or other solid material at least to the top edge of each pan. a) Metal Stairway Tower North Side - On or about May 17, 2017, metal decking stairway landings being used by employees were not temporarily fitted with wood or other solid materials to prevent tripping hazards. Penn Builders was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.1052(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1182774, citation number 01, item number 01 and was affirmed as a final order on November 15, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 909 West Union Boulevard, Bethlehem, PA 18018.
