29 CFR 1910.28(b)(1)(i): (1) Unprotected sides and edges. (i) Except as provided elsewhere in this section, the employer did not ensure that each employee on a walking-working surface with an unprotected side or edge that is 4 feet (1.2 m) or more above a lower level is protected from falling: A. Borgers Ohio Inc. located at 400 Industrial Parkway, Norwalk, Ohio: On or about May 15, 2017, the employer did not ensure employees were protected from fall hazards while aligning the puller located between the cutter and the main frame on Cell #1 exposing the employees to a fall distance of approximately 5.50 feet to the lowest level. B. Borgers Ohio Inc. located at 400 Industrial Parkway, Norwalk, Ohio: On or about June 22, 2017, the employer did not ensure employees were protected from fall hazards adjacent to heating/transfer tables located in cells such as, Cell 4. Employees entering the cells for servicing task such as changing Teflon sheets were exposed to a fall distance of approximately 4.50 feet to the lowest level.
