The guarding device shall be in conformity with any appropriate standards therefore, or, in the absence of applicable specific standards, shall be so designed and constructed as to prevent the operator from having any part of his body in the danger zone during the operating cycle.    a) Rubber mixing area - On or about 5/25/2017 and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to amputation hazards, in that the large blades on the large mixer (green) were not guarded to protect employees operating the machine.     Rubber Designs, Inc. was previously cited for a serious violation of the same occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii), which was contained in OSHA inspection 1168280, Citation 1, Item 1 and was affirmed as final order on 7/14/2016, with respect to a workplace located at 105 US Highway 411 NE, Ranger, GA 30734.
