29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: A) Cabinet shop, on or about June 1, 2017, the unused portion of the saw blade beneath the cutting table on a Powermatic band saw was not guarded, exposing employees to laceration and amputation hazards. B) Cabinet shop, on or about June 1, 2017, the self-adjusting guard on a Hitachi miter saw, did not completely cover the saw blade when in the raised position, exposing employees to laceration and or amputation hazard C) Mechanic shop, on or about June 2, 2017, the unused portion of the saw blade beneath the cutting table on a Powermatic band saw was not guarded, exposing employees to laceration and amputation hazards D) Mechanic shop, on or about June 2, 2017, there was no adjustable protective shield for the rotating cutting blade on a Jet milling machine, exposing employees to laceration hazards. E) Welding shop, on or about June 2, 2017, the adjustable guard on a HTC shearing machine was not properly adjusted to prevent employees from reaching into the point of operation, exposing employees to an amputation hazard. F) Welding shop, on or about June 2, 2017, the unused portion of the saw blade beneath the cutting table on a Marvel band saw was not guarded, exposing employees to laceration and amputation hazards
